"Crazy Factory Piercing" Review

I ordered from Crazy Factory Piercing last week, and boy was I impressed! Here is a quick review, in case you were thinking of ordering from them.

On Monday last week (21/07/14), I ordered a few bit's from Crazy Factory, and the very next day I got an email saying my order had been dispatched! Then, just two day's later (Thursday 24/07/14) my parcel had arrived at my address in Ireland. All the way from their factory in Thailand, to their dispatch centre in Germany and then on to me in Ireland, in just two days is outstanding by anyone's standard's, so I would absolutely recommend them for speed of postage.

What did I order though?! Well, you may or may not know I am stretching my ears- and have been for about a year and a half now (For those of you who aren't aware of what this means- in short it is the process of stretching a piercing to a bigger size in order to have a bigger earring, or plug as they are known for stretched piercing's, in your ear or wherever you might be stretching.) I am currently at my original goal size of 0g or 8mm, but since I got there, I've decided I want to go to 00g or 10mm. It was inevitable I think :P Anyway, in order to stretch from a 8mm to a 10mm without skipping a size and putting my ears through unnecessary trauma, I had to get a 9mm taper and plugs (The kit I got on ebay at the start of my stretching journey skip's 7mm and 9mm) so I ordered a stainless steel taper and two steel tunnels. I also ordered two plug's for my final size of 10mm for when I eventually reach it.

So, I would absolutely recommend Crazy Factory Piercing! The quality isn't as great in the necklace as I'd like, but for less than €2 I don't mind. The rest of the items are all very good quality. So whether you have "normal" ears, stretched ears, lip piercing's, nose piercing's or simply want a necklace, bracelet or hair accessory then check them out! They also have free shipping Worldwide for orders over €20, which is excellent, and if you spend less than that, shipping is calculated by weight (I think) and isn't that pricey either. 

~~~Bonus Tip: If you sign up for their newsletter's, they send you points every month that add up for money off your next order, you also get discount code's sometimes- on this order I got 20% off my total in their summer sale, which brought my order down from €22.61 to €18.63!~~~

OOTD!

This is my first Outfit of the Day post, so be gentle ;)

It was warm out today, but it did have some chilly time's, so I wore these amazing Harley Quinn legging's. I paired them with what I'm 99% sure is called a Batwing top, so that was fitting with the Batman theme! The top has a lovely Aztec styled Robot on it, and I'm wearing shorts underneath it. To complete the Batman theme, I wore my Converse with The Joker and Harley Quinn on them.  I also wore my Harry Potter Lightning Bolt necklace!

DIY No: 1. Make a loose crop top fit you (no sewing!)

Anyone who know's me, know's I LOVE Batman, so last year I bought a Batman crop top in Penneys (Primark) for €3, but it was a size 18 (I'm a size 8-10.) I bought it because I imagined I could make it fit me somehow, I just never got round to doing that until today. Since crop top's seem to be the BIG THING this season and everyone and their dog is wearing them, I was spurred on to try and sort out the one I have before spending money on one that fit's and still having this one lying in my wardrobe.

 

To do this, all you need is 5 thing's:

~An oversized crop top (or a loose tshirt, it works the same)

~A scissors

~A top that fits you the way you want the loose one to fit

~A Ruler

~Confidence in cutting up clothes ;)

FIRST:

Lay down your second tshirt on top of the one you want to resize and measure so that there is an even amount of fabric at either side. You can turn your tshirt inside out and mark the inside of it where the second one lie's so that you know how far to cut, or simply keep the smaller tshirt on top of the big one while you work. 

SECOND:

Then, cut horizontally into the tshirt in a straight line (towads the centre) until you have reached the point you have marked. Do this along the length of the tshirt until you reach the bottom so you end up with a series of strips on the side of your thsirt. (These strips can be any width you like and you can measure them to be the same width or just cut them any which way you like. Maybe try having them thicker at the top than the bottom, or try alternating between large and small strips! Let your imagination run wild!)

 

THIRD: 

Repeat this on the other side. You may need to cut the tag off if it's interfering with your wonderful work, so chop that annoying little thing off close to the stitching. 

FOURTH:

This bit is both tricky to do on your own and to explain! Make sure it will be tight enough by trying it on and grabbing the inner bits of the strips on either side, if t's still too loose, cut further in on each strip, if its too tight, don't worry your pretty little head, it isn't an issue, you will simply tie your knots further out.

FIFTH:

Next, cut each strip in half at the ends.  

 

Then all you have left to do is tie each strip with a knot at the base and you're done! (If you cut the strips in too far, put the tshirt on and tie the knots where you want them to be. This will add an extra element of being able to see your skin through the knots!)

FINALLY: 

All that's left to do now is try on your new fitted crop top and admire your fantastic DIY skills!

Handy Tip No: 1. DIY Bracelet Holder

I know it's been a while, but I've been very busy lately. So to make up for it, I have a very quick, but very handy tip for you... 

(Yes, that is Fang in the background, wearing headphones)

So, what are you looking at here?! A bracelet holder! A very simple, quick and easy bracelet holder! We all know how annoying it is having bit's of jewellery just hanging around your dresser making the place look messy, so here is the easiest trick ever for keeping them tidy while still looking good! (I really have no idea why this paragraph has a white fill around it... my apologies!)

You're right, that is a photo of a empty deodorant can and a toilet roll. No, I haven't gone crazy (although some might say I already was). All you need to do is pop your bracelet's onto one of them and voila! A neat and tidy bracelet stack! Originally I just used to used deodorant can's, but I recently discovered that a toilet roll (or a kitchen paper roll) is even better since you can cut them to different heights AND paint them! (Which I haven't gotten round to doing yet.) You can look for a can that's close to your bracelet size, but any size will work since you can simply leave them loose over the can or have them tight on a bigger one. 

And there we go. You can paint the toilet roll's any colour or pattern that you can imagine, or just go with a really pretty or even a really plain deodorant can, but at the end of the day, you have an excellent bracelet holder made with little to no effort using something that would otherwise have gone in the bin!
